It’s known throughout North Yorkshire and beyond as one of the finest fish restaurants in the area. One of the things every visitor to Whitby notices is the queue outside Magpie in all weathers and seasons to sample the finest fish dishes in Yorkshire. Our fish and chips, seafood chowder and other excellent fish dishes set us apart and our reputation is based on the good quality of the food and service we provide to our customers.
Unfortunately as much as we love dogs ourselves we can only allow assistance animals in the restaurant.
Fantastic fish and chips ……probably the best in the UK. Catered for a group of 13 of us would advise you book , we did and it was a seamless experience.

Magpie Cafe is outstanding for quality of the food, the service (with a Yorkshire wit) and value for money. We always make sure we book at least once every time we visit Whitby. This time we will be there twice in a week – yip, it’s that good !
